The Firebird Story

A family-built company grounded in experience, not shortcuts.

Firebird Roofing was founded by Rick and Jonathan, a father-and-son team. The family-quality level of care existed from the very beginning when Rick stepped in to help a cousin following storm damage over two decades ago. After that experience, he had a thought: “I think I’m pretty good at this.”

Rick grew up learning construction from his father, a carpenter, establishing a multi-generational foundation of craftsmanship and practical skill. Firebird is a result of that lineage, shaped by years of field experience, rebuilding after storms, and working directly with homeowners across Florida.

Sure enough, Rick began building his career in the roofing industry from the ground up. Jonathan has spent the past decade working alongside him, continuing a hands-on legacy rooted in being of service to those around them.

Firebird is not defined by bureaucracy, but by responsibility to others. Rick and Jonathan are directly involved in every aspect of the business, ensuring decisions are guided by integrity rather than layers of management.

They are also committed to community response and support, including deploying immediately after major storms such as Hurricane Michael to tarp and stabilize damaged roofs for affected homeowners. They have been the cleanup crew to those other guys more than once or twice.
